Interact with Anyswap Network directly on our UI!
Bridges are smart contracts that allow users to move their tokens across different chains! Let's dive into how the bridges work for our platform and its tokens!
In order to bridge both ICE and nICE token towards different chains we rely on Anyswap Network, we just provide another UI to interact with their smart contracts!
All the fees, amounts and other parameters are decided by Anyswap's team, Popsicle does not receive any of the fees collected!
Bridging transactions may take some time but they always go through once they leave the depart wallet! If you have any doubts or questions, feel free to ask them using Anyswap TG Channel!

Bridging ICE

ICE tokens are minted on Ethereum Mainnet, and are then bridged towards other chains. In order to bridge tokens, users are required to send them on one chain and receive a wrapped version of the same token on another chain (or L2 solution). To do so, we can use particular infrastructures called bridges. There are different kinds and brands of bridges, but we use only Anyswap Network to bridge ICE tokens towards other chains!
Let's now dive into this process, and use a ICE bridging ETH --> FTM as an example:
Users send ETH ICE to the bridge contract on ETH, which locks the tokens. Anyswap bridge mints and releases a wrapped version of the same token on FTM, sending it to the user wallet on FTM. Bear in mind that those two tokens have the same address, but this might not always be the case! For every FTM ICE in circulation, there is one ETH ICE locked in the bridge! This allows us to easily track the circulating supply, as all the tokens on every different chain have 1 token locked on the native chain (In our case Ethereum)!
When bridging back, Fantom ICE are sent to the bridge, burned, Ethereum ICE are released back on Mainnet and sent to the user wallet on ETH!

Bridging nICE

nICE tokens are minted on Ethereum Mainnet, and are then bridged towards other chains. In order to bridge tokens, users are required to send them on one chain and receive a wrapped version of the same token on another chain (or L2 solution). To do so, we can use particular infrastructures called bridges. There are different kinds and brands of bridges, but we use only Anyswap Network to bridge nICE tokens towards FTM, BSC, AVAX, Arbitrum or any other chain!
Differently to ICE tokens, nICE can be bridged across networks without the need on passing through Ethereum Mainnet. For example users can bridge nICE directly from AVAX to FTM, paying only the bridging fee and the gas fees on the departure network (which are negligible for most sidechains). This is a great feature for both market efficiency and reduced gas costs, we are working on upgrading also ICE bridging to this new standard!
In order to bridge nICE tokens, you can also user our UI! Depending on the version of the UI you are using (either pro or light) you will need to click on the "Bridge" button. You will be redirected to the following page:
Select the starting chain on the left side, and the arrival chain on the right. Inser the amount of nICE you want to bridge. Double check the amounts and fees in the info box underneath, and then click on the "Bridge" button in the bottom right corner!
